At Mosaic Film Experience, we start where students are and help them build toward where they’re going.

Mosaic Education brings professional-quality digital storytelling into classrooms, giving students the tools, mentorship, and real-world experience to build the future they imagine.

What is Mosaic Education?

When young people are given a platform to share their stories, they impact more than their futures. They shape what comes next.

Mosaic Education provides accessible, quality learning experiences, bringing professional-quality digital storytelling curriculum directly into classrooms. Our goal is to build the capacity to reach schools without dedicated media programs, and to work alongside existing programs already in place. Flexible, standards-aligned programming adapts to any subject area and learning goals, giving students equitable access to media arts education they might otherwise never encounter, without adding to a teacher’s workload.

Through hands-on projects, industry mentors, and real career exposure, students build transferable skills: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, alongside career-ready exposure to digital media, film, and emerging creative careers. These are skills that travel with them no matter what path they choose.

Career Pathways

A pathway of programs,
built to grow with students

From middle school through graduation and beyond, Mosaic Education is a connected pathway of programs, not a one-off experience. Students build transferable skills as they discover storytelling, explore creative careers, and prepare for whatever field they choose. Along the way, our programming connects classroom learning to real-world career opportunities, working alongside what schools already offer.

Middle School
Discover storytelling & career exploration

Grades 6 to 8. Students get their first hands-on introduction to media literacy, digital narrative, and content creation through in-classroom programming led by professional teaching artists, building confidence and creative skills while discovering the career possibilities storytelling can open up.

High School
Career preparedness & community engagement

Grades 9 to 12. Students sharpen their skills through in-school curriculum, statewide competitions, paid summer experiences, and career exploration events, building real portfolios and real networks, with opportunities to extend into Community Partnerships along the way.

After High School
Staying connected beyond graduation

Mosaic doesn’t end at graduation. Our alumni stay connected through mentorship opportunities, industry connections, and invitations to return as speakers, mentors, and collaborators — continuing the cycle of storytellers helping the next generation find their voice.

Transferable skills

that apply across
any career path

“I would recommend Mosaic to other teachers because it provides a wholly unique learning experience that extends beyond technical skills. It teaches a myriad of soft skills—such as organization, planning, teamwork, and professionalism—that students will use long after they leave the classroom. But most of all, it’s really fun.”

We meet young people where they are, and we look at the whole student, not just the classroom moment, but every touchpoint where we can encourage, equip, and empower them to shape their own story.
