Mosaic Mobile 2023 Ignites Students’ Creative Storytelling

 Open a world of creative possibilities for your students with the 2023 Mosaic Mobile competition. The Mosaic Film Experience invites high school students to craft short films entirely on their mobile devices. This year’s theme is “Transformation,” the prop is “a bag,” and the phrase is “Tell me more.” Each year, our film requirements are designed to inspire young minds to explore their narrative skills in a 2- to 3-minute storytelling adventure. Submissions are open from October 2 to 13.

Mosaic Mobile is more than a film competition. It’s an initiative that reimagines pathways for students into emerging and creative industries through innovative education and workforce development experiences. View last year’s winning films, including the first-place winner, “A little GREATNESS goes a long way,” by Laylah Addison and Ja’Mira Roberts-Butler (Innovation Central High School).

Storytelling and media skills are now essential. Mosaic Mobile prepares students for a future where they can effectively express their unique voices. The competition embodies this vision by challenging conventional storytelling norms and encouraging students to express their unique voices in innovative ways.

Mosaic Mobile flexes students’ critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration skills. By leveraging accessible devices like phones and tablets, Mosaic Mobile levels the content creation playing field, making it about creativity, narrative, and execution rather than high-end equipment and resources.
