Mosaic Film Experience has appointed five new advisory board members from Namibia. Collectively, they bring expertise across storytelling, media production, marketing, governance and education, aligning with the organization’s focus on expanding access to creative career pathways.
New advisory board members include Zellmari Brandt, general manager of marketing at Future Media and channel manager for OneAfrica; Rukee Namtenya Kaakunga, brand manager at LearnOnOne Leadership and Education Foundation and senior project coordinator at Future Media; Innanoshe Goroh, founder and creative director of Inchiology Studios; Uajorokisa Karuaihe, relationship manager for the public sector at Access Bank Namibia; and Othilia Tutu Mungoba, creative director, filmmaker and television producer.
Mosaic Film Experience has developed a growing presence in Namibia in recent years, including facilitating a hands-on youth mobile filmmaking workshop in 2025, which featured two days of interactive digital storytelling instruction connecting students, creatives and industry professionals from Namibia and the United States. The organization also participated in Namibia Film Week 2026, contributing to panel discussions focused on storytelling, creativity and media career pathways. Mosaic Film Experience plans to return to Namibia in 2026 to host another mobile filmmaking workshop and is exploring the opportunity to launch a Mosaic Namibia Career Pathway Event in 2027.
“These leaders bring deep experience across Namibia’s media and creative industries, along with a strong commitment to developing talent,” said Skot Welch, president and founder, Mosaic Film Experience. “Their perspective will help us strengthen our international collaborations and create more meaningful opportunities for young people to engage in storytelling and creative careers.”
Brandt brings a multidisciplinary background in theatre, film, radio and television through her roles at Future Media and OneAfrica. She is known for creating impactful campaigns that connect deeply with audiences and for her commitment to developing Namibia’s creative industry.
Kaakunga, a communications professional with more than a decade of experience, focuses on advancing education initiatives and leading large-scale marketing and content projects across Namibia’s media and nonprofit sectors.
“Through my work in both education and media, I’ve seen how powerful it is when young people are given the tools and space to tell their stories,” said Rukee Namtenya Kaakunga. “Our collaboration with Mosaic Film Experience creates meaningful opportunities for students to build skills, gain confidence and connect with broader creative industries.”
Goroh is an award-winning filmmaker whose work spans animation, film and commercial production. His work has earned international recognition, including a CICLOPE Africa award, and he is widely known for mentoring emerging creatives and advancing skills development in the industry.
Karuaihe brings extensive experience in governance, institutional strategy and community development, with a background spanning leadership roles in nonprofit and financial sectors and a focus on strengthening organizations and elevating human-centered narratives.
Mungoba is a creative director, filmmaker and television producer with more than 20 years of experience across media platforms. Her recent work includes award-winning documentaries and leadership in initiatives supporting women in film, including co-founding Namibia’s chapter of Sisters Working in Film and Television.
“Mosaic Film Experience is focused on creating connections that extend beyond geography,” Welch said. “By working alongside leaders in different parts of the world, we’re expanding access and helping more young people see themselves in creative industries.”
Mosaic Film Experience, a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based nonprofit, has served more than 50,000 students through educational programs that use storytelling to build creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills for career preparedness. Through international collaborations, the organization continues to expand opportunities for youth to share their perspectives and engage with creative industries.
