Mosaic Community events and collaborations provide students with access to real-world digital media training, one-of-a-kind creative experiences and career exploration in their own community.
Afterschool Programs
We start building the pipeline to career preparedness with after school programs and summer camps. We’ve partnered with the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Baxter Community Center, Grand Rapids Public Museum and ArtPrize Education. These opportunities allow students to explore their own narrative in a world that too often dismisses their stories.
Community Events
We invite the community to get involved with industry guest speakers and film screenings. We’ve partnered with 2019 Academy Award winner Kevin Willmott, author and Northwestern School of Communications associate professor Miriam Petty, director Kat Candler, and costume concept artist Phillip Boutte Jr. These events give students and the community-at-large the opportunity to meet and hear first-hand stories of leaders in creative industries.
